We are absolutely overwhelmed with gratitude.
This past Saturday, November 8th, our community came together in a truly powerful way for the 2nd Annual Bikers for Cause Foundation Chili Cook-Off. From 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, the Leesburg Firestation Banquet Hall was filled with incredible energy, amazing smells, and the sound of friends and neighbors connecting—all for a great cause.
Because of your incredible support, we are thrilled to announce that the event raised an amazing $8,300 for Women Giving Back!
This is a cause that directly impacts our neighbors. Women Giving Back is a local organization that supports women and children in crisis. They operate a boutique in Sterling where women in need can shop for high-quality professional and casual clothing, as well as essentials like diapers and toiletries, completely free of charge. This service provides dignity and confidence, empowering women to enter the workforce and build a stable life for their families. This $8,300 will go directly to supporting that critical mission.
This achievement is a testament to what we can do when we rally together.
Celebrating the Best in Show
The competition was fierce! We had 9 outstanding chili contestants who brought their A-game, making the judging decision incredibly tough. A huge round of applause is deserved for everyone who stirred the pot and shared their recipe.
We are excited to congratulate our First Place winner, Dale Bird, who took home the top prize with his perfectly named chili, "Sweet Heat"!
The atmosphere was kept lively and fun thanks to the fantastic sounds of the band Midlife Crisis. Thank you for providing the perfect soundtrack for the evening!
A Massive Thank You to Our Sponsors & Partners
An event like this is simply not possible without the generosity of our local partners. These businesses stepped up in a big way to make sure everyone was well-fed and happy.
We send our heartfelt thanks to:
Solace Brewing for their generous donation of several cases of beer.
Sheetz for donating all the hotdogs, buns, and condiments.
Mission BBQ for providing the delicious cornbread that paired perfectly with the chili.
We also want to send a special thank you to every individual who donated items for our raffle baskets. Your contributions were a huge part of our fundraising success.
It Takes a Community
This event was a true collaboration. We were honored to have 55 attendees come out to eat, vote, and support the cause. And none of it would have been possible without our gracious hosts at the Leesburg Fire Department, who provided the perfect venue for our cook-off.
Raising $8,300 for Women Giving Back is a remarkable milestone. It proves, once again, that the biker community and our friends are a powerful force for good.
Thank you to every volunteer, sponsor, contestant, and attendee. You are the "Cause" in Bikers for Cause, and we are so proud to be part of this community with you. We can't wait to see you at the next one!
