Thank you for participating in this Bikers For Cause Foundation event supporting our Wheels of Hope fundraiser.
Before registering a motorcycle or vehicle, all participants are required to review and accept the following Liability Waiver and Release.
By checking the acceptance box on the registration form and submitting your registration, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and voluntarily agree to the terms below.
1. Voluntary Participation
I understand that my participation in this event is voluntary.
Participation may include, but is not limited to:

Displaying or operating a motorcycle or motor vehicle

Entering or exiting the event area
-
Parking or positioning a vehicle
-
Participating in the Bike & Car Show
-
Participating in Trunk or Treat
-
Walking through event areas containing vehicles, equipment, vendors, and other attendees
-
Participating in other activities associated with the event
I understand that participation may involve risks that cannot be completely eliminated.
2. Assumption of Risk
I understand and acknowledge that events involving motorcycles, automobiles, parking areas, public gatherings, outdoor conditions, and moving vehicles may involve inherent risks.
These risks may include, among other things:

Vehicle accidents or collisions
-
Slips, trips, or falls
-
Property damage
-
Weather-related conditions
-
Actions of other participants or attendees
-
Conditions of roads, parking areas, or event grounds
-
Equipment failure
-
Other foreseeable or unforeseen risks associated with participation
I knowingly and voluntarily assume the risks associated with my participation in this event.
3. Participant Responsibility
I agree that I am personally responsible for my own conduct and safety while participating in the event.
If I am operating or displaying a motorcycle or motor vehicle, I represent that:

I am legally permitted to operate the vehicle when operation is required.

The vehicle is under my control and responsibility.

I will follow applicable traffic, parking, and event rules.

I will comply with reasonable instructions from event organizers, venue staff, law enforcement, or authorized event personnel.

I will operate my vehicle responsibly and with consideration for other participants and attendees.
I understand that participation in this event does not exempt me from any federal, state, or local laws.
4. Release of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, I voluntarily release and hold harmless:
Bikers For Cause Foundation, its chapters, officers, directors, members, volunteers, event organizers, representatives, sponsors, participating vendors, venue partners, property owners, and their respective representatives
from claims arising from my voluntary participation in this event, except to the extent that liability cannot legally be waived or released.
This release applies to claims involving personal injury, property damage, or other loss associated with my participation in the event.
5. Personal Property and Vehicles
I understand that I am solely responsible for my motorcycle, automobile, personal property, equipment, decorations, and other belongings brought to the event.
Bikers For Cause Foundation does not assume responsibility for:

Theft
-
Loss
-
Vandalism
-
Damage to vehicles
-
Damage to personal property
-
Damage caused by weather
-
Damage caused by another participant or attendee
Participants are encouraged to secure their vehicles and personal belongings appropriately.
6. Insurance
I understand that I am responsible for maintaining any insurance required by law for a vehicle I operate.
Bikers For Cause Foundation does not provide automobile, motorcycle, health, property, or personal liability insurance to individual participants.
7. Trunk or Treat Participation
If I choose to participate in Trunk or Treat, I agree to maintain a reasonably safe display area and to use reasonable care around children, families, participants, and other event attendees.
I understand that:

Vehicle movement should be avoided within designated Trunk or Treat areas while the activity is underway unless directed by event personnel.

Decorations should not create unnecessary hazards.

I am responsible for the items, decorations, and materials associated with my display.

Participation in Trunk or Treat is voluntary.
8. Event Rules and Removal
I understand that Bikers For Cause Foundation and the event venue reserve the right to establish reasonable event rules for safety and event operations.
Participants who engage in unsafe, disruptive, unlawful, or inappropriate conduct may be asked to leave the event.
9. Emergency Assistance
If an emergency occurs, I authorize event personnel to contact emergency services when reasonably necessary.
I understand that Bikers For Cause Foundation does not provide medical treatment or professional medical services as part of event registration.
10. Photography and Media
I understand that photographs and video may be taken during the event.
By attending, I understand that I may incidentally appear in photographs or video documenting the event.
If Bikers For Cause Foundation intends to use a participant's name, likeness, or image for a specific commercial purpose beyond general event documentation and promotion, additional permission may be obtained when appropriate.
11. Fundraising Purpose
I understand that this event supports Wheels of Hope, a Bikers For Cause Foundation initiative focused on providing new bicycles and helmets to children attending Title 1 schools in Loudoun County.
Participation in the event does not guarantee any particular fundraising outcome, prize, placement, award, or recognition.
12. Participants Under 18
A participant under the age of 18 may not independently accept this waiver.
Participation by a minor should require the consent of a parent or legal guardian and may require a separate parental consent and release form.
13. Acknowledgment and Acceptance
By checking the waiver acceptance box on the registration form, I acknowledge that:

I have read this Liability Waiver and Release.

I have had the opportunity to ask questions before participating.

I am voluntarily participating in the event.

I understand that participation may involve risk.

I agree to comply with applicable laws and event rules.

I voluntarily accept this agreement to the fullest extent permitted by law.
